Questions regarding Photograph Restoration
Any photograph can be restored to some degree. The end result is of course dependent on the initial damage
to the photograph. |
Can you repair torn Photographs ?
If all the torn parts of the Photograph are available for re-scan then yes each part can be individually scanned
then seamlessly re-stitched together prior to full re-printing |
Can you repair water damage, stains and blotches ?
Again it is dependent on the damage, but usually they present little problem.

Can you tell me straightaway if a repair is possible ?
The normal procedure is that I look at the photograph and make an immediate assessment. If I feel the photograph is beyond repair I will tell you and no fee will be charged.
I will tell you immediately what amount of repair I can do, then it’s up to you to decide if you wish to proceed with the repair. |
If you feel you can make a repair to the Photograph what happens next ?
The original photograph in full or in parts will be digitised; it will be the digitised copy’s that goes through the repair process.
Once I’m happy with the repair I will reprint the photograph and frame. |
Following repairs what do I get back, when and how ?
You will be given your original photograph back.
You will receive 2 copies of your restored Photograph in new frames.
You will receive Digitised copies of your original Photograph in addition to Digitised copies of the repaired photograph as files.
Dependent on your location your repaired Photographs may be returned by hand or by registered mail.

Can you record the repair process on Video with music ?
I offer an animated sequence of the repair at various stages from beginning to end. The client can ask for music of their choice to be overlaid over the Video at no additional cost.

How long does it take ?
Photographic Repairs are very labour intensive but I would look to getting your Photographs back within a week. |
Do you do Effects and Photograph Manipulation ?
Yes I do. This aspect is one of my favourite parts of my work.
